This is the specification we adopted for a pilot scheme for upgrading an existing 215mm Victorian solid brick wall. I am trying to get this project published. Can you tell me what the befor and after U values would be please.
ACTIS TRI-ISO SUPER 10 INSULATION GLUED TO EXISTING
EXTERNAL WALLS FOR TEMPORARY SUPPORT. ONCE THE
MULTI FOIL INSULATION IS REASONABLY SECURE, 47 X 47MM
SW BATTENS TO BE PUSHED HARD UP AGAINST WALL AS TO
COMPRESS THE INSULATION AND BATTENS FIXED THROUGH
TO EXISTING WALL. ONCE THE JOINTS ARE ADEQUATELY TAPED,
THIS WILL FORM A VAPOUR BARRIER AND PROVIDE THERMAL
INSULATION. 12.5MM PLASTERBOARD CAREFULLY FIXED TO SW
BATTENS WITH SKIM TO FINISH.
9MM PLASTERBOARD WITH 15MM PREBONDED PLASTERBOARD
PROVIDED TO WINDOW REVEALS TO PREVENT COLD BRIDGING.
DEEPER WINDOW SILLS PROVIDED TO SUIT INCREASED WALL
THICKNESS.
